On May 13, 2022, Rosalina Kozleva, Ph.D. attended to the conference whose purpose was to acquaint the representatives of local government, citizens and businesses with the opportunities for project financing for regional development, innovation and transition to a carbon-neutral economy. At the event was presented the new “Cohesion Strategy 2021-2027” of the EIB. Special guests of the event were EIB Vice President Mrs. Lilyana Pavlova, Cohesion and Reforms Commissioner Mrs. Elisa Ferreira, Mr. Grozdan Karadzhov – Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development and Public Works and Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Mr. Borislav Sandov – Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policies and Minister of Environment and Water, representatives of the legislature and the local government as Mr. Daniel Panov – Chairman of National Association of Municipalities Managing Board and Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, among others.

During the event they were presented the funding opportunities and the possibilities for providing technical assistance to projects of regional importance through EU programs and instruments, including those offered by the EIB, priorities at local, national and European level, the opportunities for applying for projects under the National Recovery Plan, budget programs aimed at sustainable development of municipalities as well as measures and strategies for increasing the volume and the equal distribution of investments in the country.
