On March 23 and 24, 2017, a Regional Transport Investment Conference was held in Sofia, organized by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission in cooperation with the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.

The conference was attended by the Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Hristo Aleksiev, the Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulz, European Coordinators, Transport Ministers, the Vice President of EIB and others.

During the event, opportunities have been discussed to increase investment in the transport sector through grant financing and financial instruments to stimulate private investment in projects of public interest. The publication is available here.
