On January 16^th 2017 in Sofia, Rozalina Kozleva, Ph.D., attended the conference “Juncker Plan – Opportunities and Results”, which was organized by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists (KRIB) in Bulgaria.

The forum was attended by Iliana Tsanova, Deputy Managing Director of the European Fund for Strategic Investment (main pillar of the “Juncker Plan”), Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and the Ministers Vladislav Goranov, Lilyana Pavlova, Ivelina Vassileva and Zornitsa Rusinova.

Mrs. Tsanova explained that “Bulgarian SMEs will have access to 1.4 billion Euro under the Investment Plan for Europe, also called “Junker” (in the name of the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker). The money will not be given in the form of grants, but mainly through affordable (low-interest) bank loans and venture capital funds”.

The following areas will be supported:  innovation, research (R&D), energy and energy efficiency, transport, information and communication technologies, environment, social affairs, health care, culture and tourism.
