Elaboration of a model of a service contract for the water sector in Bulgaria (2011)

The EBRD-funded project includes elaboration of a model of a service contract for the water sector in Bulgaria, focusing on water management in Bulgaria based on the amended Water Act of 2009 and its subsequent amendments of 2010, according to which ownership of assets is separate from their management and administration by the water supply and sewerage operators.

The company as a local partner of the German consulting company МVV decon GmbH was engaged in:

• Analysis of the current situation of the water sector;
• Analysis of the current regulatory framework;
• Development of the financial and regulatory parts of the Model contract for services between the Water and Sewerage Operator and the Water and Sewerage Association.
