Feasibility study on the technical equipment of three gas compressor stations – Lozenets CS, Ihtiman CS and Petrich CS and on the need for their modernisation (2016-2017)
The project aims at improving the efficiency, reliability and flexibility of the gas distribution system, providing technical conditions for the transmission of additional quantities of natural gas on the territory of Bulgaria and increasing the reliability and efficiency of adjoining infrastructure.
Project is assigned by Bulgartransgas JSC and it is a part of the Annual Pre-Investment Programme for 2016 of the company and it is being performed pursuant to a Grant Agreement signed under Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) – Energy within PIA 6.8.2 „Necessary rehabilitation, modernization and extension of Bulgarian NG transmission system”.
Total investment amounts to 95 M Euro.
The main objective of the Feasibility Study is to cover comprehensive activities including a research and analysis on the technical condition of three NG compressor stations (CS) – Lozenets CS, Ihtiman CS and Petrich CS in view of the need of modernization through integration of four low-emission gas turbo compressors.
As a sub-consultant of Chimcomplect-Engineering JSC, Infraproject Consult Ltd performs the following activities:
- Prepares a Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) in compliance with the requirements for analysis of investment projects of the EC for the period 2014-2020 including:
- Preparation of Financial Analysis to prove financial viability of the project;
- Preparation of Social and Economic Analysis and
- Preparation of Sensitivity and Risk Analyses.
